Reading Comprehension (8 Marks)
Read the following passage and then do as required =
There are four seasons in the year : winter, spring, summer and autumn, in winter, the weather is cold. In some countries it snows and rains heavily. During this time, people wear heavy clothes to protect themselves against cold. Then spring comes. This is my favourite season. In spring, the weather is beautiful. Nature wears new clothes in different colours. Spring is called the season of beauty and love.
Then, it is summer time. The day time is long and the sun becomes hot. Many people prefer summer, and so do I. I like summer because it is the time of holidays. People escape from the hot sun and crowded cities to the cool beaches where they enjoy swimming, sailing and diving. In autumn, it is warm, I believe autumn is a sad season because during autumn, there are no fruit on trees. Leaves fall of trees and become yellow and dry.
